Nagarjuna Files Defamation Case Against Konda Surekha
Actor Nagarjuna has officially filed a defamation case against Telangana Cabinet Minister Konda Surekha in the Nampally Court, following her controversial remarks about his family. The incident stems from a public speech where Surekha while criticizing BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR), made comments linking him, his son Naga Chaitanya, and actress Samantha to the political scenario.
Surekha alleged that KTR played a key role in the divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, suggesting that his influence directly affected their relationship. Furthermore, she claimed that KTR had asked Nagarjuna to persuade Samantha to leave N-Convention, which, according to her, was the reason for the marital breakdown. These accusations, made in a political context, quickly escalated into a controversy, sparking outrage among the public and celebrities alike.

The remarks led to an immediate backlash from the Telugu film industry and fans of Nagarjuna and his family. Many demanded that Konda Surekha retract her statements and apologize for making such personal claims. Under mounting pressure, Surekha issued a public apology, expressing regret for her words. She stated that her comments were not meant to hurt anyone and referred to them as unfortunate.
Despite the public apology, Nagarjuna decided to pursue legal action, filing a defamation case to defend his family’s honor and reputation. The actor’s decision reflects his firm stance, emphasizing that even an apology cannot fully undo the harm caused by such damaging allegations.
With the case now in court, all eyes are on the legal proceedings, as Nagarjuna seeks justice for defaming his family’s name.
