Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is back in the spotlight, this time for lending his support to an upcoming young talent and his sports-based film Champion. The star actor is set to unveil the much-anticipated trailer of Champion, which features Roshan Meka in the lead role. The grand trailer launch event is scheduled to take place on December 18 in Hyderabad. Creating strong excitement among fans and film circles alike.
Interestingly, Ram Charan’s association with the event comes at a time when he himself is working on a sports drama titled Peddi. In the film, Charan will be seen portraying a cricketer in a rustic village setting. A role that has already generated considerable buzz. By attending the Champion trailer launch, Ram Charan is symbolically cheering for another sports-centric story, this time revolving around football.

Roshan Meka has been receiving encouraging responses ever since the teaser of Champion was released. Audiences have praised his confident screen presence, sharp styling, and impressive dance skills. Set in the British era, Champion sees Roshan essaying the role of an Indian footballer with a dream of meeting Queen Elizabeth II. The narrative blends sports, emotion, ambition, and patriotism, offering more than just a conventional sports drama. Anaswara Rajan plays the female lead, and their chemistry has become a major highlight.
The film is directed by Nandamuri Kalyan Charavarthy, marking his return to direction, with music composed by Mickey J Mayer. Produced by Priyanka Dutt, Champion is slated for a grand theatrical release on December 25, 2025.
