Heeramandi Web-Series Review:
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar centers on the courtesans of Heeramandi, known as The Diamond Market. Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) reigns as the huzoor of Shahi Mahal, with her sister Waheeda (Sanjeeda Sheikh), daughters Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari) and Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal), and the new huzoor of Khwabgah, Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha). Lajjo (Richa Chadha) is a courtesan with unrequited love.
Mallikajaan envisions her youngest daughter, Alamzeb, following the path of a courtesan, a fate typically sealed for courtesans’ daughters. However, Alamzeb aspires to be a poet and secretly falls in love with the Nawab of Baloch, Tajdar (Taha Shah Badussha). Fareedan, harboring a vendetta against Mallikajaan, facilitates the secret affair between Alamzeb and Tajdar. Meanwhile, Waheeda, tired of her sister’s dominance, is willing to ally with Fareedan to undermine Mallikajaan’s pride.
Bibbojaan is deeply involved in the rebellion against the British, leveraging her relationship with Wali Sahab (Fardeen Khan), who is closely connected to British officers, to extract crucial information.
The story unfolds as these courtesans navigate their complex relationships and individual ambitions. Will they unite to play a significant role in the Indian rebellion, or will their internal conflicts and rivalries lead to their downfall? Watch Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar to discover their fate.
