Samantha Steps into Production with ‘Shubham’—But Sets Clear Guidelines for Future Projects!
Leading actress Samantha is donning the producer’s hat for the very first time with her upcoming film Shubham, scheduled to hit theatres on May 9. The film has been produced under her newly launched banner, Tralala Productions, and is helmed by director Praveen Kandregula.
In the film industry, especially with big-name projects, there’s often a noticeable gap in the way actors are paid—usually based on their star power. However, Samantha is challenging that norm. She firmly believes in maintaining fairness in terms of talent, experience, and remuneration, regardless of star status.

When asked if she would consider producing a star-driven film in the future, Samantha replied, “I never say never. At Tralala Productions, I’m committed to being mindful of every decision. I support equal skill, equal pay, and equal experience. With Shubham, this was easier since the entire cast consisted of newcomers. I do understand that different films have different needs, but wherever possible, I will try to uphold these values.”
While Samantha’s stance is admirable, it’s a tough principle to maintain in a commercial industry like Tollywood. Still, if she manages to hold firm to these ideals in her future projects, she could pave the way for significant change in the production landscape.
