The Raja Saab Teaser: A Chilling Blend of Horror and Romance

The much-awaited teaser of Prabhas’s upcoming horror-romantic comedy The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi. Finally released on June 16, creating a buzz across the Telugu states. Fans gathered in theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to catch the first glimpse of the film. Which is now set to hit screens on December 5.

Known for his larger-than-life roles since Baahubali, Prabhas takes on a refreshing new avatar in The Raja Saab as a relatable, next-door guy in a film that mixes romance, folklore, and horror. The teaser, which runs for about two minutes, showcases rich visuals and impressive VFX, teasing a story that walks the line between fantasy and fear.

Prabhas is seen sporting two different looks, but it was Sanjay Dutt’s unexpected appearance that took viewers by surprise. The teaser also briefly features the film’s leading ladies – Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar – raising anticipation for their roles.

Director Maruthi, speaking at the teaser launch, described the film as an emotional journey woven with surreal elements. “It’s a genre-bending story filled with magic, mystery, and madness. Launching the teaser in Prabhas’s hometown and witnessing such a powerful response was unforgettable. The haveli in the film isn’t just a set—it’s alive with the film’s soul,” he shared.

A day before the official teaser, a spooky pre-teaser was released to set the tone. “The Rebel vibe starts tomorrow at 10:52 am,” read a post accompanying the teaser sneak-peek.

However, just days before the official release, some clips and stills from the film were leaked online. The makers issued a stern warning, vowing to take strict action against those sharing pirated content and urging fans to respect the viewing experience.

The Raja Saab, which has been in the works since 2022, is a joint production by B4U Motion Pictures and AA Films. The music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film is now firmly slated for a grand theatrical release on December 5.
