Peddi Right on Schedule – Ram Charan Puts Rumours to Rest

Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi has officially locked March 27, 2026. As its release date ever since the first glimpse was revealed earlier this year. Despite this announcement, the film has been surrounded by constant speculation. With several reports suggesting a possible delay due to remaining shoot schedules.

Recently, such rumours gained traction once again, claiming the makers might push the release. However, the producer promptly dismissed these claims by reaffirming the original date through a special thank-you note for the Chikiri Chikiri song.

Putting all doubts to rest, Ram Charan himself confirmed the release date during his address at the Champion trailer launch event held in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening. When asked for an update on Peddi, the actor confidently stated that filming is progressing as planned and reiterated that the movie will arrive in theatres on March 27. In a light-hearted moment, Ram Charan joked that Champion would release first, followed by Sankranti films, before Peddi finally joins the box-office race.

Peddi Right on Schedule – Ram Charan Puts Rumours to Rest

Earlier, there were strong rumours that Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh might take over the March 27 slot, assuming Peddi would be delayed. But with both the producer and now Ram Charan personally confirming the date, all speculation has been firmly put to rest. The clarification suggests director Buchi Babu is pushing ahead at full speed to ensure the film is ready on time, making it a special early summer treat for fans.

Peddi has been generating tremendous buzz since its first glimpse dropped earlier this year. The massive response to the first single Chikiri Chikiri, released in multiple languages, has only amplified expectations. Trade analysts are already predicting a powerful opening at the box office, driven by the film’s soaring hype.

Directed by Buchi Babu, Peddi features Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar in a pivotal role, with Janhvi Kapoor playing the female lead. The music is composed by AR Rahman.
